A new look for Author Marissa Bader’s site!
Marissa and I had the pleasure of working together on her debut children’s book The Only Me and that led to giving her website a facelift to merge her already established writing portfolio and upcoming children’s books. Tying together her work as a personal narrative essayist and children’s book author while showcasing what a wonderful person she is was a smooth process. A bit of organizing and making sure that everything was easy to manage going forward led to a beautifully finished site.
A bright and airy new author site.
Starting by establishing a brand and color palette along with soft textures and flowy section dividers to reflect Marissa’s happy personality and the messages that she puts out in her work. Her tagline “creating sentences that sparkle and flow” was inspiration for some of these details as well as the subtle animations that were added throughout the site.
We also focused a few areas on growing her list of subscribers by offering free downloads for parents and teachers. Her Lesson Plans and Coloring pages expand on the topics covered in The Only Me and are geared toward children in grades k-3. The lesson plans focus on topics of identity and confidence and fun additional coloring pages about sunflowers are just the beginning for what we will expand on with future books!
